Typhur Dome 2 Air Fryer Model Dome 2 (AF05)
By volume it’s one of the smaller fryers here, at 5.6 quarts. By floor space it’s the biggest. The Dome 2’s basket fits a 12-inch pizza, and Typhur says it holds up to 32 wings in a single layer, which is what matters in an air fryer. Homes & Gardens made it the upgrade pick, and a Tech Advisor reviewer found fries came out done without a single shake.
It’s a big, specialized machine. At 19.7 inches wide it takes more counter than any basket fryer here. RTINGS found it takes longer to preheat than some rivals but cooks quickly and holds temperature well once going, and noted the self-clean cycle only handles grease in the top cavity, not the basket. The basket and grill plate are PFAS-free ceramic and go in the dishwasher; the app adds fan-speed control.
What works
- Huge single-layer cooking area
- Top and bottom heating, 105–450°F
- PFAS-free ceramic basket and grill plate
- Self-clean mode for the upper cavity
What doesn’t
- 19.7 inches wide
- Premium price
- RTINGS rates a cheaper Ninja dual model better for most people
Skip it if your counter is shallow or you cook for two
This is a family-batch machine. For a couple, the Cosori Lite 4-Qt costs a fraction of the price and fits a small kitchen.
